Tami

The bioimpedance booth run by nursing student, Tami, was our biggest hit!  Bioimpedance is a non-invasive measurement of body composition, like a detailed BMI...
Tami also displayed popular drink items with their sugar content represented by stacked sugar cubes.  What an eye opener.  To go with this, she pointed out how much exercise it would take to burn off these all-too-easy-to-consume calories and where some of these no-nos hide:

46 min of brisk walking or 30 min of vigorous biking to burn off one 20 oz. soda
One can of soda a day = 54,750 calories per year
A 21 oz soda contains 18 packets of sugar

With the bioimpedance readout each person can see what their body fat % is, how hydrated they are, how many calories they should consume, and what a goal weight for them would be.  Fascinating stuff.  No wonder it was so popular!
